Father's Day - Bee's Knees - Wildflower Plantable Card

This plantable card is an extra-special gift for someone whether it be a special occasion or just because! Decorated with a bumble bee, made from seeded paper with the words surrounding it "You're the Bee's knees Dad!". Inside the card is blank to allow you to write your own heartfelt message, and it comes with a recycled kraft envelope. The Bee shape can be removed when the card is finished with and planted.

This bee is printed on a light cream seeded card paper which when planted will grow into a little meadow of UK native wildflowers and grass. There are a variety of different seeds contained in each of these cards. Therefore, yours may contain any of the following: Birdsfoot Trefoil, Black Knapweed, Black Medick, Meadow Buttercup, Musk Mallow, Ox-Eye Daisy, Ribwort Planatin, Red Campion, Sala Burnet, Self Heal, White Campion and Yarrow.

It is very simple to plant your Bee seeded paper attached to the card simply:

1. Plant – Fill a pot with compost and place the paper near the top, cover with a shallow layer of compost.
2. Water – Make sure the paper is given a good watering when it first goes into the pot and keep the compost well-watered while the seeds and plants are growing.
3. Grow – Ensure the pot stays in a nice, warm, sunny spot and is kept watered until it grows into your own little meadow.

N.B. Due to the nature of the card, there are sometimes small imperfections. These may give a rough texture but add to the handcrafted look of the card and ensure that each wildflower card is slightly different and unique! In addition, as with any type of seed the longer you wait to plant, the lower the germination. Consequently, it is advised that you plant your paper within a year of purchase in order to get maximum growth.
